VIP Northern Circuit Climb

The mountain's longest, highest-success route, climbed at the top service tier — senior guide, first-choice camps, and every detail handled.

8 days / 7 nights Summit 5,895m Moderate from US$5,440 / person

Overview

The Northern Circuit, at our highest level of service

The Northern Circuit is already Kilimanjaro's longest route and the one with the highest published summit success rate — looping the quiet northern slopes near the Kenyan border, a side of the mountain most climbers never see. Our VIP tier climbs it with nothing left to chance.

You get our most experienced senior guide, first-choice camp pitches arranged ahead of other groups, a private vehicle for every transfer, and welcome and farewell dinners bookending the climb. On the mountain, that means ensuite tents, a private chef, and a crew whose sole focus is your comfort and your summit.

Every VIP climb still carries the essentials as standard: emergency oxygen, twice-daily health checks, and the built-in acclimatization that gives the Northern Circuit its success rate in the first place. VIP adds comfort and priority — it doesn't cut corners on safety to get there.

5Day

Questions

Frequently asked

What does "VIP" add over a standard private climb?

A dedicated senior guide, first-choice camp pitches, ensuite tents with a private chef, welcome and farewell dinners, and private vehicle transfers throughout. The safety standards and acclimatization schedule stay the same as every climb we run — VIP is about comfort and priority, not a different route.

Can I choose my own start date?

Yes. VIP departures aren't tied to a fixed calendar, so you can pick almost any date within the recommended dry-season windows, subject to senior guide and crew availability.

Is 8 days enough on the Northern Circuit?

Yes — 8 days is the standard Northern Circuit itinerary and already includes strong built-in acclimatization. A 9-day version with an extra night at Moir Hut is also available if you'd like additional altitude buffer.

How cold does it get on summit night?

Summit night is the coldest part of the climb, often well below freezing with wind chill. We'll give you a full packing list, and warm gear is available to rent if you need it.

Is the price per person or for the whole group?

Per person. The exact figure depends on your final group size and dates — send us an enquiry and we'll give you an honest, all-inclusive quote.
