African Safaris Hub Kilimanjaro
Gear rental
Quality mountain equipment for hire, sized and checked for the climb. Grab only what you’re missing and travel light, from sleeping bags to summit-night down jackets.
24 items available to rentRent, don’t buy
A full Kilimanjaro kit — down jacket, waterproofs, sleeping bag, boots, poles — can cost hundreds of dollars to buy new. If you’re not a regular high-altitude climber, most of it will sit in a cupboard afterwards.
Renting on the ground means you fly with less luggage, avoid the outlay, and still summit in properly warm, weather-ready equipment. Everything is quality-checked and available in a range of sizes.
Gear & prices
Everything you might need for the mountain, grouped by kit type. Rent the full list or just the pieces you don’t already own.
All prices in USD, per item for the duration of your climb. Availability and sizes confirmed at booking.
How rental works
Send us your list when you book your climb, along with your height and shoe size so we can set everything aside for you.
Every item is inspected, cleaned, and matched to your size before your climb, so nothing lets you down at altitude.
Pick up your gear at the pre-climb briefing, try it on, and start the mountain fully equipped for the cold and the summit.
Good to know
All rental equipment is quality-checked, cleaned, and available in a range of sizes — so you can travel light and still face the cold and summit night in properly warm, weather-ready kit.
