About us

We’re a Tanzanian team with one focus: getting you safely to the top of Kilimanjaro.

African Safaris Hub was built by people who grew up in the shadow of this mountain. For us, Kilimanjaro isn’t a bucket-list line — it’s home, and guiding climbers up it is a craft we’ve spent [12+ years] perfecting.

We keep our climbs local, our crews well cared for, and our itineraries built around the one thing that decides your summit: proper acclimatization. The result is a climb that feels personal, runs safely, and gets the vast majority of our climbers to Uhuru Peak.

Our story

From local guiding to a trusted Kilimanjaro operator

[African Safaris Hub was founded in 20XX] by [founder name], who started out as a mountain guide leading small groups up the Marangu and Machame routes. What began as a handful of climbs a season grew — through word of mouth and summit after summit — into a full operation trusted by climbers from around the world.

Along the way, one belief stayed fixed: a Kilimanjaro climb is only as good as the team behind it. That’s why we still lead every climb with senior local guides, invest in our porters, and refuse to cut the days that keep climbers safe — even when cheaper operators do.

Today we run climbs on every major route and pair them with safaris and Zanzibar getaways across Tanzania, all handled by one team from the moment you land to the moment you fly home.

What we stand for

Four things we refuse to compromise on

Safety first, always

Daily health checks, emergency oxygen, and a low guide ratio on every climb. We’d rather turn back safely than push a risk — and it’s exactly why so few of ours have to.

Local expertise, never outsourced

Our guides were born on this mountain and summit it week after week. That knowledge of the weather, the terrain, and the human body at altitude can’t be faked.

Fair treatment of every crew member

Fair wages, proper gear, and sensible loads for the porters and cooks who make your climb possible. We hold ourselves to KPAP’s standards because it’s right — and it makes climbs better.

Honesty in pricing and promises

One all-inclusive price with no gate-fee surprises, and realistic advice about your route and odds — even when it’s not what you hoped to hear.

Ethical climbing

The people who carry your climb deserve to be treated well

Behind every climber is a crew of porters, cooks, and guides doing the hard work at altitude. Too many operators underpay them, overload them, and send them up in inadequate gear to keep prices low.

We don’t. We follow the standards set by the [Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project (KPAP)]: fair pay, proper food and shelter, sensible load limits, and appropriate clothing for the cold. It’s the right way to run a climb — and well-treated crews are stronger, safer, and more reliable, which protects your summit too.

When you climb with us, you can be sure your adventure isn’t built on someone else’s hardship.
