African Safaris Hub Kilimanjaro
Kilimanjaro · Lemosho Route · Small Group
Join a capped small group of like-minded climbers on the full 7-day Lemosho route — the camaraderie of shared summit night, at a lower cost than climbing privately.
Overview
Our small-group departures cap each Lemosho climb at a maximum of 8 climbers, so you get the social energy of a group summit push without the crowds. It’s a great option for solo travelers, couples, or friends who’d rather share the cost and the experience than climb alone.
The itinerary is identical to our standard 7-day Lemosho route — rainforest, the Shira Plateau, Lava Tower, the Barranco Wall — just run on set departure dates with other climbers.
Every climb is led by our senior local guides, supported by a well-cared-for crew, and carries emergency oxygen and daily health checks.

Trip highlights
Day by day
Registration at Londorossi Gate, then a gentle climb through dense western rainforest to Mti Mkubwa — “Big Tree Camp” — for your first night under canvas.
The forest thins into moorland as you climb toward the edge of the Shira Plateau, with the summit visible for the first time.
A gentler day crossing the vast, otherworldly Shira Plateau, with Kibo’s summit dominating the skyline ahead.
A key acclimatization day: climb high to Lava Tower (4,630m) for lunch, then descend to sleep lower at Barranco Camp.
The day starts with the iconic Barranco Wall — a fun, non-technical scramble with sweeping views. A shorter day to Karanga Camp for a well-earned rest.
A steady climb to Barafu, the summit base camp. You rest through the afternoon and evening — because tonight, you climb.
You set off around midnight for Stella Point and on to Uhuru Peak for sunrise. After summit photos, you descend all the way through Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate for your certificate and hotel transfer.
