African Safaris Hub Kilimanjaro
Kilimanjaro · Lemosho Route · Private
The full 7-day Lemosho route, run exclusively for your own group — your pace, your dates, no joining strangers on the trail.
Overview
This is our standard 7-day Lemosho itinerary — rainforest, the Shira Plateau, Lava Tower, the Barranco Wall — run privately for your party only. No fixed departure dates to fit around, no climbing alongside travelers you’ve never met. Just you, your chosen companions, and a dedicated guide team.
It’s the preferred option for friends, families, and colleagues who want full control over pace, rest stops, and start times, while keeping the same proven route and safety standards as every other climb we run.
Every climb is led by our senior local guides, supported by a well-cared-for crew, and carries emergency oxygen and daily health checks.

Trip highlights
Day by day
Registration at Londorossi Gate, then a gentle climb through dense western rainforest to Mti Mkubwa — “Big Tree Camp” — for your first night under canvas.
The forest thins into moorland as you climb toward the edge of the Shira Plateau, with the summit visible for the first time.
A gentler day crossing the vast, otherworldly Shira Plateau, with Kibo’s summit dominating the skyline ahead.
A key acclimatization day: climb high to Lava Tower (4,630m) for lunch, then descend to sleep lower at Barranco Camp.
The day starts with the iconic Barranco Wall — a fun, non-technical scramble with sweeping views. A shorter day to Karanga Camp for a well-earned rest.
A steady climb to Barafu, the summit base camp. You rest through the afternoon and evening — because tonight, you climb.
You set off around midnight for Stella Point and on to Uhuru Peak for sunrise. After summit photos, you descend all the way through Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate for your certificate and hotel transfer.
The details
Good to know
Your party only — typically 1 to 12 people. Larger private groups are welcome, just let us know your numbers.
Choose any start date — not tied to fixed group departures. The dry seasons (Jan–Mar, Jun–Oct) still offer the clearest conditions.
Twice-daily health checks, emergency oxygen, and the same acclimatization-focused pacing on every climb we run.
Bring your own kit or rent quality equipment from us — from sleeping bags to summit-night down jackets.
Secure your dates and let us handle the rest.
Questions
Your group climbs on its own, with a dedicated guide and crew team, and no other travelers joining your itinerary. You choose your own start date rather than a fixed group departure.
From a solo climber with their own guide up to larger private parties — just tell us your numbers and we’ll size the crew accordingly.
Per-person pricing is generally higher than joining a scheduled small group, since you’re not sharing guide and porter costs with other climbers. We’ll give you an exact quote based on your group size.
Yes. Your guide will still manage safe acclimatization pacing, but daily start times and rest stops flex around your group’s preferences.
Absolutely. Many climbers pair the climb with a Serengeti safari or a Zanzibar beach stay, all arranged by our team as one seamless trip.
